The Studio
With over 1700sq ft of space Essex Photo Studio is the perfect place for any style of photoshoot. There is a fully equipped hair and make-up room and separate dressing room, allowing you space and peace to set up in the large open plan studio area.
The Essex Photo Studio is available for hire to amateurs and professionals alike. We are conveniently located for anyone who wishes to travel from Essex, London, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Kent and surrounding areas to hire the studio. Essex Photo Studio is one of the most superior studios for hire in the South East of England, boasting the ability to shoot High-Key, Low-key, Glamour, Fashion, products and even film!
Within the open plan area you will find our fantastic white infinity cove. Alongside, and separate from, the infinitiy you will also be able to use our variety of colorama backdrops, consisting of bright and subdued colours. The Essex Photo Studio also gives photographers and filming teams use of the green screen background to make their images as creative as possible in post-production. As well as the infinity cove and Colorama’s there are a variety of different shooting areas, each with interchangeable flooring. You can choose from a luxurious baroque wallpaper, a funky record collage, magazine collage and many more along with wooden floors, tiles, brick and several other floor finishes.
Should you wish to use natural light to contribute to your lighting setup, the studio boasts large windows down one side of the building. You can pull the blackout blinds and draw the luxurious curtains to ensure a dark space if you decide to go low-key. The studio can be totally blacked out and the use of our 8ft x 4ft Poly-board deflectors or selection of reflectors can help create a moody, sensual shot.
Every part of the building has been designed with photshoots in mind. Each area, from the reception to the toilet has been finished to the highest standard to allow you the opportunity to shoot anywhere you wish. You can opt for the vintage bedroom set, the retro diner, shoot “outdoor” shots inside against the brick wall and concrete floor and use the various backdrops to create the perfect picture. We allow use of all our props, from louis style chairs to Barbie inspired pink area and accessories. The studio can cater for high fashion photography to boudoir to alternative, we have something for everyone.
The Studio is located within easy reach of the A127 and A13, both being merely seconds away and the M25 being 25 minutes away. Southend Victoria Station is within a few minute walk and Southend Central is within half a mile, both are on the C2C line direct from London Fenchurch street within an hour. Should you need transport from the station we are more than happy to help out.
